Hayley has been an extremely competitive individual from a young age, with both of her parents and her brother being involved in various sports from shooting to hockey, squash, rugby and crossfit. With her brother now a professional crossfit athlete it's easy to see that ambition runs in the family!
Hayley's first sporting success came in rowing, which she started at school and continued at The University of Cambridge, being part of the winning Blondie crew at the 2009 Henley Boat Races. Following this Hayley took up cycling and has since won bronze medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2019 European Games, 2 Elite National Time Trial titles, 13 RTTC National Time Trial titles and holds 3 National Time Trial records.
Hayley has plenty more big cycling goals and has set her sights on the next Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. You can follow her journey @hayleyrsimmonds (Twitter and Instagram).
